Success story

Craig Dixon - Technical Support Specialist
Landpower, franchiser for the CLAAS Harvest Centre network

undefinedIn 2008, my farming background led to an apprenticeship with an agricultural machinery dealer in Christchurch working mainly on tractors and balers. I finished my apprenticeship in 2011 and in 2012, started work at CLAAS Harvest Centre in Canterbury as a field service technician. Here, I had the opportunity to work on a wider range of farm equipment including associated technology advancements, before stepping into a senior technician role. At CLAAS harvest Centre I was encouraged to grow as a technician - participating in expert product training from factory trained specialists and working within a really good service team and a supportive workshop environment.

In 2015, I joined Landpower as a Technical Service Specialist for CLAAS Tractors & SCORPION Telehandlers. As a technician, my experience of dealing with the Landpower technical support team had always been positive and it has always been a professional ambition of mine to use my technical knowledge and expertise, to help others be better at what they do. Landpower and the CLAAS Harvest Centre dealer network gave me the opportunity to progress my career and to do something that I am very passionate about every day. I always encourage others to consider the challenges and opportunities that a career in the agriculture sector can bring as you never know where it will take you.
