Our History.
Built on Experience. Strengthened by Trust.
Landpower was founded in 1975 by Herby Whyte, whose entrepreneurial mindset and belief in long-term relationships continue to shape the business today.
Herby’s early farming background created a deep understanding of the pressures faced by professional farmers and the importance of dependable machinery supported by people who stand behind it.
From the outset, Landpower aligned itself with entrepreneurial, privately owned global manufacturers, forming long-standing partnerships that include:
– GRIMME (appointed 1977)
– CLAAS (appointed 1987)
– AMAZONE (added 1998)
– Väderstad in Australia (added 2010)
Over time, Landpower expanded across Australia and New Zealand, investing heavily in people, infrastructure, parts supply, and technical capability – always with service as the priority.
Today, Landpower remains 100% family owned, with second-generation leadership actively involved at both Board and operational levels. While the business continues to grow, its values remain unchanged:
– Urgency in service
– Trust and loyalty
– Professional knowledge and capability
– Long-term commitment to farmers and communities
