AMAZONE expands its series of reversible ploughs
LEADING European farm machinery manufacturer, AMAZONE, has extended its range of Cayros reversible ploughs with the addition of several new models and new equipment options across its range. The German family-owned manufacturer added the well-known Vogel & Noot range of reversible ploughs to its line-up in 2016 and now manufactures five series in its familiar green-and-orange livery.
The M series comprises three or four furrow ploughs for tractors up to 120 hp. The larger XM, XMS and XS series, suitable for 140 hp, 200 hp and 260 hp tractors, respectively, offer even stronger components and construction. The top-of-the-range Cayros XS Pro series comprises three models with four or six furrows.
New for 2018 is a two-furrow M model, which provides a welcome option for smaller operations or low horsepower tractors. AMAZONE also released three-furrow XM and XMS models available with a choice of either mechanical, stepped furrow width adjustment or a hydraulic, stepless working width adjustment.
The XS and XS Pro series both get equipment upgrades, with the addition of the NonStop hydraulic stone release system to those models equipped with the mechanically-adjustable furrow width. The NonStop system automatically adjusts the release force via a tractor spool valve, allowing the plough comfortably and easily adapt to changing soil conditions. Until now, this stone release system was only available for Cayros XS and XS Pro models equipped with hydraulic working width adjustment.
Also new for 2018 is the WX 400 PE plough body, which features a plastic mouldboard that prevents sticking when working heavy soils. AMAZONE is Europe’s leading manufacturer of cultivation, sowing, spraying and spreading technology.
Established in 1883, it operates seven manufacturing sites in Germany, France, Russia and Hungary.
