AMAZONE FT 1001 Front Tank

Thanks to the large tank volume the new Amazone FT 1001 front tank system allows area outputs such as with a trailed sprayer or a self propelled machine of the same filling volume. The Flow Control fill level management in the AMATRON 3 on-board computer provides the optimum, fill level dependent homogenizing of the spray agent in both tanks.

The filling, agitation and spraying of the spray agent in the front tank as well as the cleaning are integrated in the flow circuits of the mounted sprayer. The Amazone front tank system is particularly interesting for processing and arable farms, however, also for contractors operating in regions with smaller sized structures.

Especially in smaller fields the AMAZONE front tank solution is the manoeuvrable alternative to trailed sprayers. Also on the road and in narrow streets in villages the compact mounted unit is en route safer and faster.  At the same time the front tank acts as a front weight resulting in an improved traction and tracking stability of the tractor whilst spraying  in hilly terrain.

In comparison with the 3,000 litre self propelled sprayer the front tank system offers advantages. These are the lower capital costs but also the possibility for a travelling speed on roads of up to 50 km/h. And after the spraying operation the tractor can also be used for other purposes.

The advantages of the front tank

  • Advantages over trailed sprayers
  • Compact unit
  • Less side crabbing on side slopes
  • Optimum ballasting of the front axle results in a smooth travelling behaviour in sloping terrain
  • Faster to back into corners on the headland
  • Easy manoeuvre in smaller and in wedge shaped fields
  • Compact tansport on narrow country lanes and along roads
  • The front tank simultaneously serves as front weight ensuring an optimum balance
  • Reduction of soil compaction
