Powerful and efficient
An efficient six-cylinder, 8.7 litre FPT (Fiat Power Train) Tier 3 engine paired with a CMATIC continuously variable transmission offers seamless on-demand power delivery of up to 423 hp (AXION 950). The engine has been updated to Tier 3 with emissions control technology and uses the latest common rail 4-valve technology, charge-air cooling, and an updated electronic Variable Geometry Turbo (e-VGT).
CMATIC CVT for real performance
CMATIC is the name of the continuously variable transmission technology used in CLAAS tractors. In the AXION 900 series a ZF Eccom transmission provides efficient conversion of engine power. In this split-power, continuously variable transmission, the four mechanical ranges are automatically selected by multidisc clutches. There is no need to shift between ranges manually. The high mechanical component of the CMATIC transmission provides outstanding efficiency and low fuel consumption in every speed range.
Full potential in any situation
The AXION 900 is built for endurance work under extremely challenging conditions. The ECO PTO is designed to work at full torque and maximum output.
The engine is housed in a strong frame section with an integrated engine oil sump which perfectly absorbs all the forces associated with the front linkage and front axle carrier. A new heavy-duty front axle significantly improves strength and reliability in the field.
Pleasant working environment
An updated cab now includes a 12" CEBIS touchscreen display with ISO UT function for greater compatibility and implement control. CLAAS leading fully independent four-way cab suspension, updated heavy-duty front axle with PROACTIV suspension, complete automatic climate control system and CMOTION multifunction lever. This provides an excellent, comfortable operator environment to make long days seem short.
