The Company:

About the role:
We are on the lookout for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Service Manager. This role will report to the Branch Manager and will require the ability to develop and implement strategies and initiatives that will drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction within our dynamic service department.

Our ideal candidate will effectively manage the day-to-day work of the service team. In addition will have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to set clear performance objectives and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to maximize team efficiency and individual development across our growing service team.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage and direct the day-to-day work of the service team to ensure that work is carried out in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide workshop and remote technical support to the service team as required
  • Be responsive as the first point of contact for clients, management and your team including some afterhours support
  • Confidently connect with and nurture your team by providing ongoing leadership to inspire and motivate
  • Set clear performance objectives and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to maximize team efficiency and individual development
  • Ensures that the service team is recruited, inducted, trained, motivated, managed and exited in accordance with company policy
  • Develop and implement internal and external customer service strategies to enhance overall customer experience
  • Identify areas for improvement throughout the service department and implement appropriate action plans
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless coordination of customer service including the assembly and pre-delivery checks on new machinery and the reconditioning of used machinery
  • Consistently and actively promote, and always abides by the company Health and Safety policy

  
Requirements:

  • Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Strong Agriculture industry background and knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a successful leadership role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Posses’ strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to liaise and interact with all levels of staff and management
  • A positive and outward approach to others with the ability to contribute to creating a positive team environment
  • Analytical, well organised, structured and outcomes-focused
  • Self-motivated with a good work ethic
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Intermediate computer skills - Microsoft office and system savvy
