292 Te Ngae Road,
Product Manager - CLAAS LEXION — Landpower, Melbourne
Where do you come from?
Tarcutta, NSW, Australia.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I grew up on a sheep farm between two towns called Tumbarumba and Tarcutta. I enjoy running, hiking, fishing and traveling.
When did you start working at Landpower?
I started in January 2015 so I’ve been at Landpower for close to three years now.
What's your role at Landpower?
Product Manager for CLAAS LEXION.
What does a typical day involve?
I normally have two or more ‘projects’ which I’m working on. For example re-assessing parts coverage or doing some cost of ownership calculations. I try to focus on the current project until ten in the morning. The rest of the day depends on the time or year, it might be answering emails or it could be running out to demonstrate a LEXION.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I get to drive a brand new LEXION every year and talk to farmers about farming.
How did you get involved in the Graduate Program?
Through the Gradlink programme facilitated by Rimfire Resources.
What did you like the most about the Graduate Program?
I had a placement in Christchurch for 7 weeks the year I completed the Graduate Program, making things even better was that the snow was very good that year.
What other training have you done since working with Landpower?
Outback guidance training, David Forman sales performer training, and yearly product training in Germany.
What advice do you have for others thinking about applying for the Graduate Program?
If you like spending time on farms, or farm machinery the Graduate Program is a great opportunity. It’s a very unique way to be exposed to a growing international business with a heavy focus on retail, whilst allowing for work travel and some great opportunities for career development.
