CLAAS and John Deere Get Connected

Published on 10 December 2020

A CLOUD-BASED solution that enables the exchange of machinery data between CLAAS, John Deere and 365FarmNet operating platforms has gone ‘live’.

DataConnect allows operators of mixed-brand machinery fleets to view the location and operating status of all their machines on a single platform of their choice.

CLAAS Harvest Centre Product Specialist – Precision, Joshua Patrick, says DataConnect enables the seamless and automated exchange of data.

“Previously, viewing such information required the user to access each manufacturer’s platform,” he says.

“Now they can monitor their whole machinery fleet in real-time using their preferred platform.

“DataConnect works without any additional hardware and software components and ensures secure data handling.

“Once they are connected, other manufacturers’ machines appear automatically as icons in their brand colours or in an accompanying information panel.

“Customers can view current machine location, historical machine location, machine status, machine speed and fuel level.”

Additional manufacturers and functions will be added to DataConnect in due course.
