EASY on-board app even easier
CLAAS’ EASY on-board app is now even easier to use with the incorporation of an ISOBUS Task Controller documentation function that allows it to seamlessly connect with most farm management software.
CLAAS EASY is tablet-based app that can be used to control any of the German manufacturer’s high performance mowers, rakes, balers and loader wagons from any make of tractor.
CLAAS Harvest Centre Product Manager – CLAAS JAGUAR and Greenline, Luke Wheeler, says the addition further improves the functionality of the EASY system.
“Job data can be imported as an ISO-XML file directly to the tablet via the internet, eliminating the need to send email attachments,” Luke says. “Likewise, completed tasks can be exported directly to farm management software for further processing.”
The Task Controller function is compatible with any AEF-certified farm management software, such as in 365FarmNet.
“Operators can create jobs using their chosen platform and then access and process them in the app. Alternatively, they can create, process and save new jobs in the app and then view them back in the office.”
CLAAS EASY on-board app – which was awarded a gold medal at French agricultural exhibition, SIMA, in 2015 – utilises ISOBUS technology, the internationally-recognised communication protocol for agricultural machinery.
“EASY turns any iPad into an ISOBUS terminal,” Luke says. “All that’s needed is a tablet loaded with the app, a mount to hold the tablet and the CLAAS wireless interface that connects the iPad to ISOBUS. This allows the driver to control selected functions of the implement directly from the machine using the iPad. ISOBUS function buttons in the tractor or on the joystick can also be configured using the ISOBUS auxiliary function in the cab.”
A connection kit for easy ISOBUS wiring is available for older tractors.
